光哥回港渡假，八月廿三日在家吃飯，有魚翅。八月三十日，帶一家三口遊車河，到過麥奀、蓮香、山頂，最後在深井傅記吃燒鵝。

每年重陽節前，各圍村都忙於煮盆菜。我住在圍村超過十年，吃最多是上水盆菜，也吃過錦田元朗的盆菜，大致上差不多。是年的大圍盆菜宴，用鹽水鴨、粉絲和蝦做的盆菜，跟北區人以豬肉為主的盆菜不同。
